WORKING WITH CHILDREN CHECK INFORMATION
Colo Soccer Club registers Coaches, Managers and Volunteers as per the FNSW and Nepean FA Guidelines. Click here for Football NSW's WWCC Guidelines All Coaches, Managers & Volunteers must register for and provide the club with a current Working With Children Check. The only exemption for this is persons under 18 years of age. There is no cost involved with obtaining a Volunteer WWCC. Exempt persons must complete a FNSW Member Protection Declaration and provide the MPD form to their club. If you already have a WWC Number, you must enter it when you register online. If you do not have a WWC Number, you will need to apply online. APPLYING FOR A WWCC To apply for your WWC Check, click on the link below and follow the instructions. Once you apply you need to visit the motor registry to show proof of ID and complete the process. The WWC Check is FREE for volunteers & is valid for 5 years. The WWC Check Costs $80 for paid workers and is payable at the Motor Registry. Your work may be able to reimburse you for this. After you have attended Service NSW, you should receive your WWC Number by email within 2 weeks (allow longer at peak times). I have received my WWC Number, what do I do with it? You must provide your WWCC Number when you register online to be a Coach or Manager. The club then verifies the WWCC Number online and keeps a record of the verification. A WWCC Number is valid for 5 years. A person working or volunteering with children must provide their WWCC Number to their club unless exempt (under 18). The WWCC number should be provided at the commencement of their role. If a person is unable to provide their WWCC Number within a reasonable time or refuses to obtain a WWCC Number then that person is not permitted to work or volunteer with children. |
