CONGRATULATIONS COLO 14G/1 AND 16G/1

1/7/2015

14 Girls def Avalon 1-0

The Colo SFC 14 Girls Coached by John Casserly, Managed by Nadine McKerrell and David Pilkington were up against Avalon FC.

Colo SFC went into the attack immediately and scored a cracking goal in the early part of the game. Avalon fought back and the game was entertaining with play switching from end to end. The Colo girls dug deep in the second half and kept attacking the Avalon goal and were unlucky not to score.

The girls will be in the finals on 12th July 2015at FNSW Valentine Park

16 Girls def Manly Vale 1-0

The Colo SFC 16 Girls Coached by Ross Hardy and Managed by Lisa Egtberts went straight into attacking mode as soon as the whistle blew.

Manly Vale were surprised at wave after wave of Colo attack. Their Coach quickly readjusted her side and a more even game commenced. Both teams found the going hard due to the field conditions. A breakthrough came for Colo when awarded a free kick outside the area. The kick was superbly taken and curled over the Manly Vale keepers out stretched arms and into the back of the net. Colo did not rest they continued to attack hoping to cement their lead. Manly Vale tried to get them on the counter attack but Colo held out and had a well earned win.

The girls are off to take part in the International Kanga Cup Tournament in Canberra during the holidays but will be back to take part in the

Finals on 12/7/15 FNSW Valentine Park
