Extract from NFA Update 1/7/2020
Most medium to large clubs have a limit of 1 spectator per player. Please adhere to this rule. Smaller clubs who have very little chance of reaching 500 visitors to their venue have a little more latitude, however, to make this rule easy to implement and monitor, we ask that all parents, supporters, players and teams comply.
TEMPORARY RULE CHANGES
Technical area rules have been reviewed.
The following is in place for at least 2020 and until Covid-19 restrictions are no longer necessary.
In 2020 social distancing rules in place due to the Covid-19 pandemic require a 1.5m distance between people in public places (not competing in a competition match or training). To facilitate this the size of the technical area will be temporarily amended. Clubs may enlarge the area to accommodate 1 coach, 1 manager, 6 substitute players who appear on the team sheet as participating in the match and may therefore extend the technical area to 1.5m x 13m for each team. Players who are not listed on the team sheet as taking part in the match (with an assigned shirt number) are considered spectators and may not stand within the technical areas. For the purposes of clarification, the association only permits and only acknowledges one coach per game, therefore only one coach may be in the technical area and that coach must be the coach signed on for the match. For the purpose of closing loopholes, registered assistant coaches may not be signed on as acting managers in order to replace the registered manager in the technical area. Team marshals may not stand in the technical area. Visiting association officials may not stand in the technical area.
Rules relating to Substitute Bibs have also been amended to cater to Covid-19 Restrictions.
It is a requirement for all subs/interchange players on the bench (sideline) in all competition age groups (U12 & above) to wear a bib or clothing item of a colour contrasting to their uniform’s main colours. If vests are worn in place of bibs, they must be fastened in front to obscure the front of the playing shirt.
All other competition rules apply as usual.
If we can all work together everyone can enjoy being involved in sport again.
